DANIEL M. ORTUÑO

Mr. Ortuño graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1997 and with a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in 2000, where he was a member of The Order of the Barristers, The Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society, and participated in the Dawson and Sodd Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Ortuño's practice has been devoted to the representation of insurance carriers and self-insured entities in workers' compensation proceedings before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation and civil litigation involving insurance defense.

Mr. Ortuño has specialized expertise in workers' compensation subrogation recovery and has received defense verdicts in the justice, county, and district courts of the State of Texas and many favorable decisions while representing insurance carriers and self-insured entities before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation and Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court. He has been admitted to practice by The State Bar of Texas and The State Bar of Oklahoma. He is a member of The Dallas County Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Mr. Ortuño is fluent in Spanish.
